In 2024, our clothing label prioritizes ethical Australian-made clothing by focusing on local craftsmanship and avoiding overseas sweatshops. This commitment allows us to offer a unique, custom approach to our products while supporting numerous local businesses, from textile makers in Melbourne to cotton farmers in Queensland.

Our manufacturing is local, which means if you’re an odd shape you can have almost  any of our pieces adjusted to fit you with no extra charge. Keep an eye our for this symbol and once you buy anything let us know if you need any adjustments!

We also work with “shapes”, so many of our products come in a range of fits such as Slim, Classic and Fitted rather than male/female sections.

Fuck Fast Fashion.

We need to evolve the way clothing is made to protect the people making it and our ecosystems that we live in. Our “Respired” symbol means that particular garment can be recycled, hand-dyed or repaired at it’s end of life, creating a far more circular model for ESPIRE.

We also ensure that many of our fabrics are locally produced and are natural fibres, often tracing the fibres back to where they are grown.

The Retro Collection.

Co-founder and lead Designer Jane has a (slightly messy) workroom full of retro fabrics and pieces that she used for garments in the 80s & 90s. These pieces are utalisng these found-again gems for limited collection pieces. 

These pieces are only available as we find them and aren’t in our hoodie builder. If you’re after one not in your size, contact us directly to be added onto the list for them.
